Sad Day

We had 2 days with Catherine and began the journey to bring her home with us. On Thursday, 11/23, we took her for her physical. It was determined she was a sick child and we would not be able to adopt her. While grieving this loss, we met with the director and social workers, who were also surprised by this latest finding. Somehow, her medical condition was not relayed to them. On Friday morning we jouneyed back to Kiev to the SDA office to get another appointment. We are expecting word on Monday. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

What an emotional rollercoaster! We will certainly continue to pray that you will find the little one who is meant for you very soon! I know that God has a loving plan for you all...
We will be checking in at least daily for more news.

Doors close, windows open. Will nothing be easy about this process? Hopefully this frustration will pay dividends on the other end...my keyboard to God's ear. Am sure it is hard to post sad news, but we are all checking up on you and it just makes us pray even harder.

Much love, Darlin' and Pops

Thomas, Mom, and I are so sorry about Catherine. I hope she will heal and have another chance at the kind of life that you would have prepared for her. Meanwhile, I can only hope and pray that the news this week for you will be much better. If it's God's will, it will happen.

Words can not express how sorry we were to hear about Catherine. You are both in our thoughts and prayers. Thomas is doing well. Jack and Thomas have been seeing each other a lot so rest easy on that front. We pray for good news on your next blog.

Our love to you both,
